Testing Mommy
We are going through a phase I like to call "Testing Mommy." Isaac will do something he knows I have told him "No" for before, while giving me this look of "What are you going to do about it?"
For example, he likes to bang on our blinds in the living room. No big deal, until he starts pulling on them. The first time he does it, I tell him "No, no." Then he'll keep doing it, while giving me that look, just to see what I'm going to do. I know all kids do this, and I don't lose my cool (it's actually kinda cute sometimes). I'm learning to handle it gracefully. I realized this morning that I do that to God sometimes too, and He has been nothing but patient and graceful with me. Thanks for the lesson in parenting, Lord!
