Isaac has really been learning alot lately. He's started talking more, still lots of jiberish, but learning new words nearly every day. Here's some of the words he says (at least the ones I can think of right now!)...

Daddy & da-da
Ma-ma (though not very often)
Bye
Ba (ball)
Ca (car)
Daw (dog)
No-no
Oh no
I-da-no (I don't know)
Bay-bee (baby - pronounced with a very strong drawl - learned from daddy, as in "hey baby")

Although he doesn't say these words, he knows exactly what we're talking about when we say things like...

Big hug
Kisses & Sugars
Chair (aka highchair)
Hungry (he runs toward the kitchen with his hands on his belly like he's starving!)
Elmo
Firetruck (his ride on)
Dirty (the woodchips around the fireplace - he brings them to mommy when I say "It's dirty")
Monkey (he kinda does the monkey sound too)

He loves to pretend to be talking on the phone. He has a play phone, but he'll pretend talk on anything. Most of the time, he pretend talks to daddy, but since daddy has taught him to say "hey baby" that's what he starts with!

He can't quite climb onto the couch yet, but the matching ottoman is a hair shorter so he can climb on it. He gets so proud when he gets up there. I'll have to get a photo of that soon.

Being new in the mommy business, I'm never sure when to start trying to teach him things. So, I may be a little later than other mommies (or maybe a bit sooner), but I just recently started teaching him to color. I (I mean, Santa) originally got him the crayons that are a bit fatter than normal, but realized he didn't have the foggiest idea how to hold them, so I then bought the ones that are made for little hands. The ones that look like fat little sumo wrestlers. Anyway, he prefers the red over the green and blue, and he likes to bang them on the paper creating little dots everywhere. I helped him with the very first one, which is proudly displayed on my refrigerator. :)
