First day of PK4

Isaac's first day of PreK-4 (Preschool for 4 year olds) was yesterday. I didn't count the cubbies, but I'm guessing there are about 10 - 12 in his class. His birthday actually falls 2 days after the cut-off, but they were nice enough to let him in anyway, so he's the youngest in his class.

His cubby with his school stuff.

He was so ready and excited to start school. He didn't want to get out of bed so early that morning, but once he realized it was the day he would actually get to go to school instead of just talk about going, he shot out of bed and was quick to get ready.

This year, he's going to a day school program at Emory Baptist Church, just about 10 minutes from home. Much closer than Sulphur Springs last year, which will be a blessing once sister arrives. It also allows him to get to know and make friends with other kids his age that he will end up going to "big school" with later. His teacher this year is Mrs. Stephanie. I think he'll have a good year, and will learn lots of good things. Getting ready for the great adventure called Kindergarten next year!
