Birthday party

I was reminded tonight that I had not posted pics of Isaac's birthday party yet. So, without further ado...

I made Isaac's cake again this year, and I'm not terribly impressed with how it turned out. But it definitely served it's purpose!

I also made the super cute (if I do say so myself) banner hanging in the window. It really took more time and effort than it was worth, but I loved how it turned out. I'll most likely laminate each circle so I can reuse it for a couple more years.

He was so excited to blow out the candles that we actually had to re-light them in order to get a picture!

Mmmmmm....good cake!

Much less messy than the last couple years!

Ben's mom, Mary, wasn't able to come for the party (Isaac's cousins' birthday is the day after Isaac's) but she was able to drop by early for a minute to give him his gift. He loves this springy pony! He has a button on each ear, that when pressed, his tail wags, his mouth moves, and he neighs. Cute! We've named the horse Trigger. You can't see it in this photo, but on the floor under the horse is a "blanket" for the horse with Isaac's name and the number 3.

Riding his trike around with a balloon attached to the back.

"To Infinity and Beyond!"

Ooooohhhh...all the things we'll create with all that Play-Doh!

Playing Doctor. He doesn't know what "blood pressure" means, so when he puts the cuff on my arm, he tells me how old it says I am. Apparently I am 20 years old again!

Derek got him three monster trucks, along with this Stunt Stadium. I fold it up and put it away each night, and it's the first thing he plays with each morning. He loves it! Thanks Uncle Derek!

Racing two of his MANY new Hot Wheels down the track with Papa.

Attentively watching/helping Derek build a fort with his new Lincoln Logs. I just knew he couldn't grow up without having a set of these timeless logs.

My silly boy. He's seen his cartoons when they have birthday parties, they always wear a birthday hat. I didn't do birthday hats this year, so he improvised!!!
