Busy, busy

Ok, I admit. I haven't thought much about the blog lately. But in my defense, the end of the year is always busy, busy. There's Isaac's birthday, starting "school", Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Throw in a few sicknesses and a couple funerals, and we've had a hectic end to 2010.

But, I didn't want to just pass right over some of the fun stuff, so here's what we've been up to...

Isaac had his first dentist appointment back in October. He was a champ. No fussing, or squirming. Of course, it helped that they had a TV screen on the ceiling for him to watch while they were doing their business. :)

All done! Dentist said he has great teeth, but that he'll probably need braces when he's older. Surprise, surprise.

Our little carved Halloween pumpkin. Ben drew the design, and I cut it out. I tried to get Isaac to help me dig out all the goop inside, but one touch sent him running away saying "Eeeewwww!" He does not like his hands to be dirty!

We visited a pumpkin patch where we picked up this big pumpkin. Since Isaac didn't want to help with the carved pumpkin, I thought I'd let him paint this one. This is my side...

...and this is Isaac's side. Can't really tell much about it, but he put all four colors on separately, then smeared them all together effectively washing out any color it originally had. :) We each put our hand prints on either side, too.

This was at the pumpkin patch. Isaac LOVED this huge slide. He kept climbing up, and sliding down on his belly (his signature move), over and over. He would have kept going all day if I'd let him.

This was also at the pumpkin patch. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend this place: Three Oaks Pumpkin Patch, Brashear, TX. They had this huge hay stack for climbing, a round hay bale maze, pumpkin painting station, hay ride back to the pumpkin patch, two blow up bounce houses and blow up slide, and a crafty station. Plus lots of room for kids to roam.

Isaac was a train conductor for Halloween this year. It was really funny to hear him say trick or treat: "Prick or Preat!" He looked so cute.

Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures at any of our Thanksgiving festivities. I'm getting bad about taking pictures, so I promise to be better at Christmas.
